Safe to sayโ€ฆ things escalated from thereโ€ฆ as she took the concept of โ€œgiving it a goโ€ to a whole new level: ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ English channel crossing (i.e. she always finds the way back home!) ๐Ÿ”ฅ Multiple Ironman & 70.3 races ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ Endurance challenges on two wheels (she found wheel-mates in the club!) ๐Ÿฅˆ Podium finishes at extreme triathlon challenges ( @T24_xtreme!) ๐ŸŽ“ British Triathlon certified group coach ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ WTC chair-person and coach As a coach, she swears by keeping things simple and consistent to deliver performance ! Young Athlete Sponsorship 2026 Introducing Sophie Young Athlete Sponsorship 2026 Introducing Sophie Green! Every year WTC backs a young athlete with ambition and potential in swim, bike, run, and we are super excited to kick off our 2026 by welcoming into the WTC family Sophie Green! Sophie is a 16-year-old visually impaired paratriathlete who competes in the PTVI classification. She discovered triathlon about two years ago: and was soon hooked! Now on the British Paratriathlon Pathway, a programme designed to develop athletes with world-class potential, sheโ€™s already showing exactly why she belongs there. In her first season racing the British Triathlon Super Series, Sophie finished 1st overall in the PTVI Female category !! She took a huge step last September, moving to Loughborough College, an elite British Triathlon training hub, to keep building experience as she pursues her ambition to race internationally! NYE SPECIAL PB EDITION celebrating the last WTCโ€™er NYE SPECIAL PB EDITION celebrating the last WTCโ€™ers standing ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ It's not over till is over and @Walter and Jono brought home two new PBs in the final days of the year! First up: Walter rang the 10K PB bell @Chase the Moon Battersea Park on December 10th with a 46:28 performance! A monster comeback after injury!! ... chuffed but always chasing for more.. it looks like he's now after a PB bells symphony in 2026!! ๐Ÿ””๐Ÿ’ฅ A few days later Jono banked a new 10K PB in an amazing 37:19 finish @The one in the park Battersea!! One of many 2025 performances defending an unbroken 10-year streak across all other distances (historical data acquired ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€) On 2026 resolutions, he declared: โ€œI'm having a crack at 5K PBs now!"!!๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธโšก So..for both athletes: will the wine theory apply? ๐Ÿท๐Ÿท Let's wait and see!!!! And trained. And trained some more. ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธSwim โ€” 3,100km and counting (@marionswimsacross leading at 400.. rarely on land. Neptune take that! ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธBike โ€” 100,000+ km of pedal power, @trilinsey leading the pack 9k+.. Linsey wait! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธRun โ€” 37,378 km, @libgeeksgirl .. leading at 2300+!!! Run Lucy run! TOTAL CHARGE: 140000+ km and 9,000+ training hours... thatโ€™s about 3.5 laps around the Earth and 375+ full days of swim, bike and run!!!! ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ And all that training fuelled a lot of racing and club fun! WTCers showed up in full force at the iconic London Cross Country Championships @ Parliament Hill on November 8th!!๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ Steep uphill start and views over London to forget the pain! WTC's endurance queen, Marion, took part in the @t24_xtrem_triathlon at the end of September. This is a mammoth feat onsisting of 13k swim / 220k bike / 50k run and Marion came away in a fabulous 3rd place! ๐Ÿ‘‘ WTC were out in force at the @vitalitylondon10k on Sunday 28 September, with excellent running from Anja, Tom, Claire, Abi, Jono, Des and Ellen! (Sorry if we missed anyone!) ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Our very own WTC triathlon and aquathlon took place on 28 September, with competitors racing around our lovely course in Willesden. There were smiles, gritted teeth, personal bests and most important lots of cake! Lucy and Leo took part in the Coniston Swim Run in the Lake District and came 2nd! ๐Ÿฅˆ Des, Jono and Raphael fought it out at the Eton Dorney Triathlon on Sunday. Three teams from WTC embarked on a gallivant around Hampstead Heath, swimming in the lido and all three ponds, and running between each. What a fab event! With hot temperatures, a puncture and a tough course, it was a tough day out but they both did brilliantly! ๐Ÿšฒ โšช Raphael smashed his first middle distance triathlon in Cardiff - finishing in 5hrs 40 and 4th in his age group ๐Ÿ’ช @triathloncymru โšซ Camille completed her eighth half marathon of the year!
